Based outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Matt Formanek’s ToolShed Amps have been hand-building their unique amplifiers for more than a decade. It’s been some time since I’ve covered Toolshed. Let’s remedy that.
Today, via email, Matt shared updates on a few projects in progress, including the high-gain 6V6/6F6-based MKE SPCL pictured here, as well as a KT88/6550 SEP-based build designed in collaboration with Gordon Rankin of Wavelength Audio, and based on his proprietary "reactor-follower" topology.
Matt has another 1626 design in progress, a headphone amplifier that I hope to cover in more detail later.

We'll keep an eye out and provide updates as things develop.
